The Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-R Series (GOES-R) is the next generation of geostationary weather satellites. GOES-R will provide images of weather pattern and severe storms as frequently as every 30 seconds, which will contribute to quicker, more accurate and reliable weather forecasts and severe weather outlooks.
