The Insta360 X5 is an 8K 360° action camera that is designed for adventurers, filmmakers, and content creators, this flagship device features 8K 360° video recording, AI-powered enhancements, and a rugged, replaceable lens system. It is built for seamless 360° content creation, allowing users to capture everything around them. The Insta360 X5 is equipped with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, which is 144% larger than its predecessor, the X4. This upgrade allows for superior light capture, resulting in brighter, clearer images even in challenging lighting conditions. The camera supports 8K at 30fps, with supersampling from 11K, ensuring sharp, true-to-life visuals. Additionally, Active HDR has been improved to 5.7K at 60fps, delivering smooth, vibrant footage with enhanced dynamic range.

The X5 features a Triple AI Chip system, which includes a 5nm AI chip and two Pro Imaging chips. This advanced processing power reduces noise, enhances clarity, and optimizes footage in real time. The PureVideo low-light mode further improves nighttime and low-light shooting, making it ideal for capturing cinematic scenes in dim environments.

Durability is a key focus of the X5. The camera introduces a replaceable lens system, allowing users to swap out damaged lenses on the go. The ultra-durable glass lenses are scratch-resistant. Additionally, the X5 is waterproof up to 49 feet (15m) and features a built-in wind guard for improved audio quality.

With its Invisible Selfie Stick technology, the camera automatically removes it from the frame, creating impossible third-person perspectives that look as if they were captured by a drone. The Twist to Shoot feature allows users to start recording simply by twisting the selfie stick back and forth. For creators who want seamless editing, the InstaFrame mode records both a ready-to-share flat video and a full 360° video simultaneously. This dual-recording function simplifies content creation, allowing users to instantly share their best moments while preserving the full 360° footage for more in-depth edits. The revamped Insta360 app provides intuitive editing tools, including one-tap dewarping, auto-framing, and AI-driven enhancements.

The X5 2,400mAh battery offers up to 185 minutes of recording in Endurance Mode, ensuring extended shooting sessions without frequent recharging. The camera also supports quick charging, reaching 80% in just 20 minutes.
