The Raspberry Pi 500 Desktop Kit is a compact and versatile computing solution designed to cater to a wide range of users. This kit combines the power of the Raspberry Pi 500 with essential accessories, creating a seamless and user-friendly experience. At the heart of the Raspberry Pi 500 is its 2.4GHz quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 CPU, which features cryptography extensions, 512KB per-core L2 caches, and a 2MB shared L3 cache. Complementing the CPU is 8GB of LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM.
It includes dual-band IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, supporting both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz frequencies, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE for seamless wireless communication. For wired connections, the kit offers Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, and one USB 2.0 port, ensuring compatibility with a variety of peripherals. The Raspberry Pi 500 features two micro HDMI ports that support up to 4Kp60 resolution. This allows users to connect dual displays. The device also supports H.265 (4Kp60 decode) and OpenGL ES 3.0 graphics.
Storage options include a microSD card slot, which comes preloaded with Raspberry Pi OS on a 32GB Class A2 microSD card. This operating system is optimized for the Raspberry Pi 500. The kit also includes a 27W USB-C power supply. The Raspberry Pi 500 is housed in a high-quality keyboard with regional variants offering 78, 79, or 83 keys. This compact design integrates the computer and keyboard into a single unit. Additional features include a horizontal 40-pin GPIO header for hardware interfacing and expansion, as well as compliance with various regional and international standards.
