Fast IPS Gaming Monitor

February 20, 2024

IPS, which stands for In-Plane Switching, is a type of LCD panel technology commonly used in gaming monitors. It's known for its excellent color accuracy, wide viewing angles, and good contrast ratios. However, it traditionally had slower response times compared to other panel types, which made them less ideal for fast-paced competitive gaming.

To address the response time issue, manufacturers have developed Fast IPS panels. These panels use special technologies to achieve response times as low as 1ms, which is on par with the best TN (Twisted Nematic) panels. This makes Fast IPS panels a great choice for gamers who want the best of both worlds: excellent color accuracy and wide viewing angles, combined with fast response times for smooth and responsive gameplay.

The Pixio PX248WAVE is a fast IPS 1080p gaming monitor with a 23.8 inch screen and a 200hz refresh rate. Its 1ms GTG response time provides smoother game play. Other specifications include: 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 112.44% sRGB color gamut. For connectivity, the Pixio PX248WAVE is equipped with DP1, HDMI, USB, earphone, and DC power connector.
