Hybrid Electric eVTOL

February 26, 2025

MightyFly's aircraft, known as the Cento, is a hybrid-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle designed to carry up to 100 pounds of cargo over a range of 600 miles. It has a top speed of 150 mph. This impressive speed, range and payload capacity enable same-day delivery from urban centers to remote rural areas. It look different than most eVTOLs, not only for its propeller configuration but also because of the way the payload is loaded through a hinged nose of the aircraft.

The MightyFly Cento aircraft operates autonomously and its hybrid-electric system combines the efficiency of electric power with the extended range of an internal combustion engine, allowing for multiple deliveries without the need for recharging. The eVTOL capability enables the Cento to take off and land in confined spaces. The aircraft features an autonomous load system that can autonomously open and close the cargo bay door, receive and eject packages, and secure them in place.

MightyFly has achieved several significant regulatory milestones, including receiving an FAA Flight Corridor approval for A-to-B flight testing. This approval marks a major step forward in the development and deployment of large autonomous cargo eVTOLs.
