Robot Vacuum With Mechanical Arm
January 14, 2025
Roborock has once again raised the bar for smart home cleaning with the introduction of the Roborock Saros Z70. This innovative robot vacuum is equipped with a foldable robotic arm and advanced navigation technology, setting a new standard for automated cleaning. The standout feature of the Saros Z70 is its OmniGrip robotic arm, which can pick up and move small objects like socks, shoes, and other debris out of its cleaning path. This arm is compact enough to keep the vacuum under 8 cm thick, yet powerful enough to handle objects up to 300 grams. The arm can also be stowed away when not in use, ensuring the vacuum remains sleek and unobtrusive.
Another impressive feature is the Adaptalift chassis, which allows the vacuum to raise its height by up to 4 cm to clear small obstacles like thresholds and cords. This makes it versatile enough to clean different types of surfaces and navigate around various household items. The Saros Z70 is equipped with a navigation system that uses dual-light 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology and an RGB camera powered by AI to create a detailed 3D map of its surroundings. This allows the vacuum to detect and avoid obstacles, ensuring a thorough and efficient cleaning process.
For mopping, the Saros Z70 features a module that vibrates to provide a deep clean. The vacuum also has an anti-tangle brush and retractable mopping pads, making it suitable for both dry and wet cleaning. It includes a mop auto-detach function when paired with the optional dock, allowing the vacuum to switch between vacuum-only and mopping modes seamlessly. The vacuum also has a child lock and a safety stop button for added peace of mind.
