Disaster Relief Robots

Centauro is a four-legged robot that is nimble and dexterous. It is being designed for use in disaster relief. A full-body telepresence suit allows for remote control by a human operator.

These robots are being built to go into places that are too dangerous for humans, like after a nuclear disaster, then perform some of the tasks that a human would do, like turning off a valve.
