First Private Mission to the Moon
SpaceIL is an Israeli nonprofit organization that is aiming to put an unmanned spacecraft, Beresheet, on the Moon. Beresheet was launched on 21 February, 2019, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. It will attempt to land on the moon on April 11th. The spacecraft will use gravity from the Earth and the Moon to slingshot it into position for a lunar landing.
