Origami Robot Gripper is Soft and Strong

 

New origami style robot hand from MIT and Harvard is soft and can adapt to firmly hold objects of different shapes without breaking them. The cone-shaped hand collapses in on objects to pick up items that are as much as 100 times its weight.
